Woods Bagot on shortlist for ‘Pirellino’ Tower in Milan

The designer for “Pirelli 39” is being decided through an international design competition led by client Coima Sgr. The other practices on the shortlist include 3xn (Denmark), David Chipperfield (England / Italy), Diller Scofidio + Boeri (Usa / Italy), Heatherwick (England), and Wilmotte (France). All will take part in the second design phase, running between February 11 and April 6, 2020, with a final award expected in May 2020. 

Pirelli 39 was originally put up for sale by the Municipality of Milan through public auction in which five major Italian and international operators in the real estate and financial world took part. The site was ultimately won by Coima Opportunity Fund II, the largest discretionary real estate fund ever dedicated to Italy.
